Indian economy and job market: The Indian economy is the tenth largest in the world by nominal GDP and third by PPP or Purchasing Power Parity, with a labour force of almost 500 million. GDP growth rate for the entire year 2011-12 was 6.5% and 8.4% during 2010-11. India's large service industry accounts for 57.2% of the country's GDP while the industrial and agricultural sectors contribute 28.6% and 14.6% respectively.
